Boost leak symptoms, but no apparent leak

can't find a leak anywhere, all the hoses clamped on good, i shimmed my shitty BOV with like a dozen washers to see if that would fix it, but no dice (it seemed like it helped at first, but musta been my imagination).

This is right after headgasket replacement (HKS 1.2mm MHG), now ECU throwing code 11 (momentary loss of power to ecu or something like that), and i dont know if that is related or not. ignition timing at 10degrees BTDC (whats the most advance i can safely pull on 93 octane btw?)

I'll ease onto the throttle and bring the boost up relatively slowly, and at random points the power increase will drop off (like, barely any increase from 6psi to 12psi kinda thing). sometimes it'll make full power the whole time from start.
weird thing: if i hold throttle steady, half the time it will suddenly start making full power (thats why i suspected BOV at first, didnt know if it mighta been trying to flutter under boost). also, when i'm boosting and its not making power (not as much power as it should, at least), when i let off the gas, it feels like there is a momentary rise in power before it decel's

so, am i a blind idiot and am overlooking boost leak, or are there other obvious possibilities?

thanks peeps

you need to fix that check engine light before anything. i tried looking on the supra tsrm but didnt find code 11, so couldnt help you out much there.

i doubt the bov will cause you problems like that esp if it was fine before the hg fix.

And, if you have a code 11, no other diagnostic codes will be displayed. In other words, you could have other problems and not know it. You need to figure out what is causing the code 11. I would start by checking the ECU grounds at the intake manifold.

i never rooted out the code 11, all the grounds i could find were connected, but that is temporarily beside the point:

Last night, got bored, picked up a buddy and hit the twisties for an hour, did some highway pulls, no problem (aside from the car not making enough power, but still makes plenty  ). on the way home, interstate has concrete divider for like 25 miles, figured i'd cruise. went bout 100-110 half way, then picked it up to 120-130 second half.
i was powering up a hill, accelerating to 130, when i hear loud boom/pop, lose power, and shoot a massive fireball (this shit sucks, but the fireball was still cool). i stop car, restart. starts up fine, idles fine, maybe 100 rpms too low, but sounds fine. it will rev up fine, still spools turbo in neutral, but car won't make power. i rev it, let rpms fall, and it usually stutters and dies. if i rev to like 3k and hold it there, it seems good at first, then starts to stuttering and usually dies.
I can't find the problem: all my intake/intercooler piping seems straight, so my theory of blown pipe is out the window. what else could it be?

thanks in advance

The code 11 is not beside the point. How can you expect the engine to run right when power to the ECU is being lost? Is it me or is this common sense?

beside the point because its an old symptom. and if power is really being lost, why does it run at all? (honest question, not a comeback or anything)
EDIT: and it still has the new problem without throwing code 11

Redacted per Title 18 USC Section 798
What does the code description say? "Momentary interruption". That's why it runs.

How do you know it's old? You no longer have the code? Even if that's the case it didn't happen by accident. Things don't fix themselves you know....they only get worse as time goes by. Not to mention your symptoms are consistent with an ECU power interruption.

Is the code 11 still stored...showing on the CEL when the diag block is jumped?

If so, it's still there and will not allow other codes to show.

my question is.....if you knew you had a problem like this...especially like code 11 (i mean really, temp loss power to ECU...hello? not good) why would you be running your car hard like that?? What do you expect?? Its not like you're throwing a code 51 or something....

FYI- Your battery terminals can be tight but still not have a good connection, causing a code 11. There is a good chance your car would be shutting down on you occasionally though.
