Boost gauge help

I don't think I've got my boost gauge hooked up right.
It's a Defi.

I've got power, but no vacuum. I teed the vacuum off of 90999-92002. Is this correct?
And do I have to remove the old boost gauge to make this work? I noticed the stock one still worked when I had the Defi installed still

I would just tee off from the factory boost sensor line it should give a more accurate reading when its not being hooked up in line with another pneumatic device like the egr valve.Also there is a vsv where you hooked it up that only applies vacuum to the egr at certain times so that is more than likely your problem.

I tied in to vacuum off the nipple at the back of the intake manifold. That's the one that goes across to the climate control heater VSV and over the other way to the cruise control.

There's a vacuum pump on that line on turbo models, so there may be unintended consequences, but since my '89 chassis was NA, there isn't one on the cruise control, and it's an excellent source.

Yeah that would be a good vac/boost sorce also since the vsv is after the connection you would be making for the new gauge i believe that is where mine is plumed in also.

Where's the factory line at? Is it in the diagram there

Ok I think I have it set right now. I used the surge tank line. I couldn't see in the link you provided bad88mk3 where the stock boost gauge vacuum line is.
But this is where it it at idle.

It runs along the drivers side fender to the sensor for the stock boost gauge its right near the strut tower.But where you have it hooked up should be ok but it might not have an accurate reading as other places it could be hooked to since the evap canister has a bvsv hooked to the vac lines.I will try and take a picture of a good/ideal place to tie into.

Also you may wanna check your engine coolant level cause i see the low engine coolant light is illuminated on your gauge cluster in your picture.

Yea that has been on ever since I bought it. I think it's the sensor. Lol. The motor literally has like 320 miles on rebuild.

lol yeah mine was the same way what you need to do is clean the overflow bottle out good it more than likely has build up keeping the float from moving to the top to turn the light off.Also did you figure the boost gauge out i added some pictures of two ideal places to tap into for vac/boost reference.

I'll be hooking it up at the places you showed me. Right now, it does work, but just not where I really want it hooked up at. Thanks for providing the pics!
