so, here in va beach... apparently my car LOVES the cold weather....
got a lil bored tonight... drove the supra down to the waterfront to get her nice and warmed up, and turned back around to go down the freeway... coming from the first red light i pinned the throttle... nothing but wheel spin... i was rather enjoying it, so i put it into second hard, and let the tires get a lil more toasty :evil2: just about as i caught traction around 50-60, i hit fuel cut ::moebaker:: put it in third, and hit cut again after about 2 seconds  so i just put it in 5th and cruised down the highway... i had a good bit more fun though, and the car seems to put off fuel cut a bit more when you have more fuel in the tank (when i started out i was on e, later on i filled up to 3/4, and it wouldn't hit cut in 2nd gear any more)
well, after i filled up, i just goofed off for a good while, just enjoying being able to drive a propperly running supra :biglaugh:... then i came upon a late 60's gto... now the thing that i found wierd was that he actually tried to avoid me. I saw him when i was pulling out of the gas station, and caught up to him. We immediately caught a red light, and i stopped at the line, but he continued 2 car lengths ahead of me into the damn intersection before he stopped. :dunno: thought that was kind of odd, so we started rolling again, right when i eased up beside his left side, he puts on his signal and changes a lane over to the right. Now at this point there was a car in the lane to my left, and a mini-van a couple cars back in the lane to my right, and the gto, the next lane over to the right. The gto, then put on his signal again (after just avoiding me) and turns into the sam's club. Well, i look in my rear view about 5 seconds later, and apparently he just put on his signal, acted like he was going to turn, and then slowly kept going on the same road as me... now i guess he thought i wouldn't notice that, lol, but the thing is, he stayed in tow of me for a good nother 5 miles, maintaining the same distance, and at one point i had slowed down to 35 in a 45, and gone as fast as 60.... yet, he remained the same distance :dunno: puzzling at least
the next gto was an 05 model that happened to be turning out of a driveway... now i had just turned left onto the street so i was still in first gear; still being giddy with the pleasure of this new-found cold weather performance :naughty: i just pinned the gas for kicks and giggles and burned the tires through 1st, and to the top of second... he chased me down and this gto actually wanted to race... now, i would've had my ass handed to me (even if i wasn't hitting boost cut in damn near every gear, i'd still be fairly out-gunned), and not only that, i had to turn into my appartments, not 1/10 of a mile from where i had encountered him....
anyhow, i guess the point of this thread is that i've got that stupid grin plastered to my face, and can't believe how much fun that was :biglaugh:
