quick question... will the boost cut throw a check engine light?

can anyone also speculate why i cant rev pass 4.5-5k rpm? :3d_frown: timing is fine unless my sensors are whack.. i have had the timing troubles where it was off (for some reason) and it would barely go passed 2.5-3k rpm but this 5k cut is a lot different than timing being off it seems to bog down and jump back to normal - i really havent pushed it hard enough to see if it would go passed the 5k line when i bogged... i was told there is a neutral safety for the auto ecus so you dont over-rev thats at 5k but im not exactly sure this is it... i was told to cut the 76 pin (on the big connector, E9 i think... on the ecu) to fix this but when i took a look at the wiring it wasnt even connected so im not so sure this is the problem. anyone ever run into this on the aristo ecu or am i overlooking something?

My car throws a CEL on boost cut. Also, I have an auto ECU and no problem revving, but it's a supra ECU so the soarer might be different.

Lol i figured out the problem, sadly enough the neutral (automatic ECU) rev limit safety on the aristo is 5k which made me think the ECU thought it was in nuetral all of the time. but when dr tweak did my wiring he had already bypassed it in the process of wiring it up. and i had completely forgotten i had a tach signal converter installed with my harness! so it thought i was running a V-8 engine... Oops! :) missed the whole "you need to calibrate it before you run it thing" and it only took a second,,,,

so my rev limiter is happily passing the 7m's redline
