I've got a 1987 NA supra With a 2jzgte in it, has the walbro fuel pump, wiring was done by the good doc at pheonixtuning. BTW i have just the down pipe on right now, I don't think this would be a factor but its info.

Anyways when I step on it, I seem to hit fuel cut or boost cut still trying to figure out the difference, at around 3.8-4k. I don't know why.

A friend I was talking to said this is probably from the knock sensor being bad.

So any suggestions?

Does the stock ecu have boost cut? I know it will have fuel cut, but I thought you had to have a standalone for boost cut. I know my stinger will let you set the boost cut at whatever you want it to be. It's been so long since I had a stock ecu, I can't remember mine having one. I remember hitting fuel cut a few times though.

I don't think it has boost cut, but I don't exactly know yet. All I know is it kind quits the pulling feeling and then kicks in again when i shift.

Your talking about the fuel cut defenser right?

What boost is it hitting? The stock Aristo ecu boostcut/fuel cut (same thing) is at ~ 14 psi. A free flowing exhaust will cause the twins to creep there. Easy way to see, if the check engine light comes on when it does it its boost cut, you will probably have a code 34 too (iirc)
