Wondering how well everyone's skirts fit (with Bomex side skirts), I think mine are fit pretty poorly, I think mine may be knock off sides as well but they look well made. People with the sides could you post a picture and maybe some mounting points? Also does anyone have problems with their wheel hitting the side skirt when turning? Any trimming?

Sorry, no pics at the moment but they use two mounting points where the mudflaps were, and I riveted them on the inside where the door shuts..

The fronts too? I only have 1 mounting point on the front side into where the front mud flap used to be.

Where is everyone getting their bomex side skirts from? Do some vendors sides fit better then others?

you can still buy bomex part's,but they are made in the phillipine's now.they may have better fitment then a replica, but they are thin and weak.this is my experance with a 3hole lip and bomex bumper i have, both made in the phillipine's.
i also have shine auto replica bomex wing, side's,quarter piece's, and gracier bumper which are much sturdier.a guy at the inspection station crashed into a car ramp with my car and the damage was small.he hit it going pretty good and i just couldn't believe it didn't just blow appart

I have had a Shine lip, and a GRacer replica bumper, and the fit was great.

The Bomex genuine sides I had were not a "perfect" fit, but the genuine rears were. I have since changed to another car, and have the Shine ABflug sides and rears, and the fit is great.

Shineauto fits good, so do the bomex ones.

However there is this one company that sells them on ebay real cheap, stay clear of that. I got my first sides from that place and had to throw them away because you couldnt fit them.

I've had both the original JDM side skirts and ShineAutoproject version.

The original JDM side skirts fits excellent, but is not perfect; there is a gap by the front fender and rear lower 1/4 panel (in front of the rear wheel)

I don't suggest the current original Bomex sideskirts, which are made in the Philippines, you may experience fitment issues.

The most current version of the Shineautoproject Bomex side skirts have an excellent fit and is improved over the original JDM side skirts. If you want peace of mind that you'll get a set with excellent fit, order from ShineAutoProject.

Interested to see the fitment pictures. Were your sides from Bomex in the Philippines or the shine auto replicas?

Does anyone have a link to shines website? I did a quick search on google and didnt come up with much.

Thanks

Sorry I haven't had a chance to take the pictures I promised. It has rained here all weekend. Hopefully, it will clear out this evening like it is supposed to. Then it's a week of 70 degree days. Mine are genuine Bomex, and I've never had any problems with them.

Did you happen to get a chance to snap a few pics of the fitment?

Thanks

I finally have the sun shining a bit. The car is terribly dirty from the rain, since I park it on dirt. But here's the fitment pictures I promised. For now, they are just bolted/riveted on. When I finally get the money to paint the car, they will get molded on. I have only seen one minor flaw, and that is how the rear piece does not line up perfectly to the molding. It slides on over the top of the bumper, so there is no way to avoid that.

The full side/rear kit genuine Bomex. I bought this unused from another member, and I have no idea how old they are, or where they were made. I do BTW have the shineauto G-Spec front bumper. It fit really well too.

Exterior look at the side piece

1 rear mounting bolt - yep that's all and 1 front bolt as well

Now 4 bolts inside the door jamb. Looks like it took 2 tries for the back one.

Rear Piece as seen

5 bolts inside behind the tire, and one underneath the bottom, into the bumper itself.
