seeing the pre 89 guys didnt have much option with lips, my boy brian and i got the 2 hole to work now!

the 89-92 bomex 2 hole was chopped and mocked up on an 87 bumper today and is getting the mold made as we speak and should be ready for sale in 2 weeks.

standard MK3 group buy ritual. Lot of interest, not alot of follow through.

It hasn't been as bad with some of the recent GB's but still happens.

sure i'd like one, but im not in the need of one right now.
plus i know i'd break it off real quick. i was doing that whole homedepot lip thing once and i was drivin around for a little bit with just the metal bracketry and i already caught myself scraping the shit out of it.

u wil break ur stock bumper before u snap one of these!!!!!!!! doesnt scratch easily AT ALL!! i have beat the shit out of my lip and it still looks new!!!



not to mention u cant beat a lip to ur door for $185!!!!! $135 if u pick it up!!

Why would there be a difference between pre and post 89. So your saying that had I already bought one of the other lips, it would not have worked? Sorry if the question is dumb, but other than the center piece up the middle and the fact that the lower grill became part of bumper, what is the difference? this is the first time I've seen anyone specify a difference in lips.

i cant beleive u didnt get that memo!! yes 86.5-88 bumpers are DIFFERENT!!! especailly how the bottom part of the bumper sits wher the lip goes. so yes if u bought a bomex lip before i mentioned this new lip availble for pre 89 u would have been SOL my friend!!

Not all MKIII owners are all that cheap. I'll give it a thumbs up or down with my wallet when it's finished and there's some good pics of it mounted and painted up...no sense giving an opinion of something we haven't seen the final version of...
