Sounds to me like your car could be dangerously lean.

You'll have to spend some money to make this car boost safely.
In my honest opinion, you AT LEAST need a fuel pressure reglator, a SAFC (or similar) and a competent tuner.

Or you could go GTE electronics, and be a little safer on the stock turbo... but still run the risk of detonation due to the higher compression N/A pistons.

Just so im clear. An Apexi Safc should work fine? For the short term. I only ask because my funds are being spent on a new Rack/Pinnion unit plus install.

Do you have a AFR gauge? If no, get one. Whats that thing behind your right hand(passenger side) strut tower?? I take it thats a AFPR on the left hand trut tower? I would highly recommend a GTE rad fan, along with a fan shroud!

The feeling I get from many, if not most is that the GE-T is a silly move, and I don't totally disagree. Now without using the GTE electronics, I would tread lightly...very lightly. If your steering needs work, then of course that should have the utmost priority, if not I would be saving for GTE electronics. This place, and junkyards are prime, you don't have to go new.

I can't help with the SAFC, I have no experience with them, but I'm sure it can tune fuel in open loop(Somone else will have to help you there). Do you know what injectors you have?

Whats your oil filter/cooler setup? Just curious.

I have yet to hear any attempt to check codes, if any. The CIL doesn't have to be illuminated to have codes.
Use the link McGyvr posted, it's the MKIII's bible.

I do have Boost And A/F Gauges I have noticed the car is super lean when The car goes into Boost past 5psi and then starts to bog down. I havent *gotten on it* only enough to build boost and then see what the A/F guages read. Which would explain if I have my foot halfway on the gas the car runs fine since it won't boost past 5psi until I step on it. Then it just goes super lean and doesnt go anywhere.

I have no idea What is on the left or the right hand side:)
I will check codes tonight if i have time. I did locate an Apexi Safc for $120. oil filter/cooler? i will have to look. I am learning with this car, i am reading alot on the forums. I will take pictures of those things on the left and the right. Keep in my mind i only paid 1100 for the car and so far only have about 1000 invested. as paychecks come I purchase parts. The main thing right now is getting this car on the road to become a safe car to drive daily. Ive even considered just removing the turbo parts. But then I feel like ive wasted money rebuilding the turbo and paying my mechanic to install everything again. So my thought it just to keep moving forward.
