Hello all.

Got some great news.
Just installed my fresh new ct-26 along with all new belts, seals, and did some Rewiring that was ghetto rigged by the kid who had the car before me. Even replaced a transmission mount. The car is still far from complete but she runs pretty well. Next on the list is ordering a new Steering rack/pinion

Few issues though(I will just list them)

1989 supra na/t Automatic

When at wot the car boggs down almost like its trying to brake boost or something. The Turbo is spooling. When I let off the gas about half way the boost releases and the car rockets forward. Not sure if this is normal.

Braking seems kinda hard (checking how the vacuum lines are connected tomorrow)

pics/vids soon

make sure their are no boost leaks and all your couplings are on tight ..could be at wot their is enough boost to open up a hole in the intake or loosen a coupling compared to half throttle

leaks can cause that ;) you feel decent power at low end but then once you are supposed to feel spool it is just not there and bogs heh.. forgot to connect the 3000 pipe to the tb once on the 7m and it did that ;p

I would fix that hole, but if it was there before i bet thats not the main cause. Fixxed "ghetto" wiring, hmmm. Was timing belt part of the belts? Check your codes.

to my knowledge no codes are present. how could a timing belt cause that?

Did you check your codes, or are you assuming??

Did you change your timing belt, you said you changed all your belts, was the timing belt included in that.

Put it this way, whatever you fucked with, is more than likely why your having problems...

as far as changing something and resulting in a problem? the car was not running correctly when i purchased it. the turbo was rebuilt oil was all over inside the intercooler. alot of things where.. melted/jerry rigged.

-Codes= I'm Assuming I have non.

-Timing belt was replaced but the timing never changed.

On my way home. At full throttle the car stops at 3k at wot unless i pull off about half way then it picks up.

In low Gear the car revs until redline but bogs a bit after 5psi.

I did notice an almost Pressure washer sound comming from my right rear (I think) when I boost

Under the alternator? Is that on a jdm car??? Or do you mean the fitting that comes off the front on the intake manifold that feeds the fpr, bov, ect?

So instead of taking 15 seconds to check for codes, you will just assume..?

And on that note...I'm done.

Ok, guess that would be behind the alternator:naughty:. I thought you ment a IC pipe, thought maybe the JDM cars had one below the alt. Doesn't the OP have a stock 7M-GTE?

You don't need an OBD1 (or any equipment except a paperclip) to check codes. Trust me, Dumbo knows his shit... he's helped me out more than once... (even though I didn't always like what he had to say, it's usualy right... lmao)

Here is a link to the online TSRM page that will help you check codes... I've gone so far as to keep a paperclip under the hood JUST for checking codes.

Wow, feel like i just walked in on a couple kids fighting over who has the coolest action figure.:aigo:

Anyways. My check engine light is not on so i did not feel the need to check codes. I guess I will check for codes anyways tomorrow.
Figured I would post pictures of my engine. The guy who had the car before me changed around a good number of things from the stock layout. So if some help can be given as to where I am supposed to be looking, it would help. :1zhelp:
My guess is just under the alternator on the left side. Ive been informed that the turbo edition had coil packs. I am just checking.
