I've been fabricating body kits for a couple years now. This is my first one for the MKIII. I've done many kits for my previous car, 1999 Ford Contour v6, and a friend's car 1996 Mazda MX-3. I have also sold the kits I made. I don't mean to advertise a sale, I'm just trying to give enthusiast an idea!

I have searched for body kits all over the web sites and haven't found many people building nice kits. This kit will be complete and in primer in about a month (not working on it everyday).

I'm not looking for any rice jokes please. Just some decent opinions. If some of you are familiar with these cars, I'm kinda going for the DRIFT style look such as 240sx, Trueno, Levins, RX-7 have done in many of the D-1 series classes suchs cars of our caliber have raced in.

Fabrications of these kits takes time and money. If you are interested please be serious and PM me.

I must say that I like that a lot. It is not "ricey" at all, it is a very clean and to the point body kit that fulfills the shape of an MKIII. (Sorry, don't know if that sounded right, lol). I do body work as well so believe me when I say that I understand how hard it is to be a perfectionist in something like that. Keep up the good work. Keep us updated, too.

Man, I love the stock look of the MKIII but my only complaint was that the front bumper didn't reach far enough down, especially on the pre 89's, and the freaking pre 89 lip is so hard to find, but man oh man, I like the look you've got going on so far but I like the fact you're using a pre89 bumper the most!! :aigo: haha. Quick question though, this may be dumb but I was wondering, are you going to mold the fabricated part into the bumper? or does the part you made fit like a lip?

i agree with everyone else... i mostly like stock cars, but i've been looking for a nice front bumper with a big opening for the IC but not too flashy or ricey.. this looks pretty clean and simple lines, i like it.

keep us informed with your progress, i for one am very interested.

Yes this peice will become the whole bumper, the transistion from the stock bumper to the fiberglass will be molded flat. I may keep a little step as it goes closer to the fender/wheel area just beacuse the sides and the rear will have that same step all the way through.

I think it looks good. But, in my opinion, I think you need to bring the front up a little more so it kind of evens out with the sideskirts. Maybe just me. I like things to be symmetrical and even.

Yeah I like things to be symmetrical and even too. Thats why I'm an engineer major. Everything is still in the work and on the test fit stage. The tape on the skirts lets me lower or raise it until I'm ready to glass. The screws holding the bumper also lets me raise or lower the kit so that everything is lined up in the end. I was trying a couple different hieghts. For the side skirts to align, I will be rasing the front up about 1/2" and lowering the sides 1/2". But of course that's what it looks like in the picture. I still have yet to break out the string that I use to line everything up.

when your finished what will the price be on the sides and bumper ?

Not sure. If I can get almost a dozen people to do the kit. I can work out a mold and get it produced. Off the top of my head you're looking at about $1000 front rear and sides.

If you want one for yourself and with me not producing this kit for others to have. (just one person at a time). You're looking at $800 just for the front alone.

that looks beaut. i love how it keeps the natural shape of the mk3 intact (squarish nose). 1k isnt bad, considering dropping 1800-1900 on a do-luck kit. cant wait to see the finished product
