body dismantling

Hey guys, I just have a quick question. In order to remove the fenders, would I have to remove the front bumper cover and nose panel?

The reason why I ask is that the fenders, hood, and headlight covers don't line up properly. There are gaps everywhere and it looks like, well, shit.

Nope, but it is still a bitch to get at.

i dont think you have to remove the bumper from the top of my head but it does help having more room.

nope, removal of the front upper bumper isn't necessary, but you still will have to unbolt it from the fenders.

take ur time, leave bolts in place and started but not tight and adjust stuff lil by lil then tighten then check then tighten some more, lol body work is a bitch lol

There are two bolts in the front corner of the fender that bolt to the nose panel. They are a bitch! Removing the inner fender should be done first. Then, if I remember right, there are two, maybe three bolts between the fender and the bumper. There is also an arm that runs from the fender to the body of the car. Make sure you get that one. It's just one bolt, but it always seems to haunt me.

If you only have to re-align it then I wouldn't even take it off, just loosen everything.

Well, everything is as tight as I can get it right now.

I've figured out that it's not the bumper, it's the hood. I'm not sure what's wrong with it exactly, but the hood near the headlight on the driver's side is the same height as the fender on that side, but the hood is elevated from the fender on the passenger side. There's a gap large enough for me to stick a finger through. I don't know what to do right now.

Is it possible that the hood is warped in a way that it won't line up properly?

Any ideas would be extremely helpful, everyone. If need be, I can get some pictures up of my problem.

I cant look at my ar right now, but I'm almost 100% you can align the hood too. "Pictures are worth a thousand words"

Yeah, I'm aligning it right now. I found when the previous owner dismantled the front of the car to do a (half ass) paint job, they didn't bother to properly align everything. The hood latch is a little off, so after I move it back to its proper spot, everything should be straight.

Next thing on the list after that is to adjust the headlight motors to stop (closed) a little bit higher than they are now.

Pictures, if still needed, will be put up later tonight after I get home from work.
