Bmw/7mgte

Hi new on here from NyC ,ok i have a 7mgte motor an am thinking about putting it in a 1989 325is bmw 2 door, what u think do i have a change with it or not what would i have to do, i now i`ll have to do alot, has it ever been done as yet does any 1 now ? :1zhelp:

judging from their setup, the engine will have to lean. this might not be good for the 7M's already inherent oiling problems. Depending upon how far it's gotta lean, a custom sump will need to be made, the oil pickup will need to be modified, and you will have to make sure that the head gets proper oiling and draining of oil.
Do it, take many pictures.

I've seen pictures of JZ series engines in both older and newer style M3's.

Considering the engines are approximately the same size and mount the same I would try and track down the owners or write-ups and see what was required to make them work and then tweak it for your chassis and the 7m.

Sounds like it would be sweet tho.

you whould not really have to lean the motor bmw motor's are pretty dame tall

and as for pick up there be no issue since you lean it on the picup side as for the head i don't know

but i be you chould monte it stight up

Lol My friend used to want my 7mgte to put in his e30, but then he decided to get an m50 to replace his dog m20.
