I had a rod break on my 22R once (was very souped up, made 200rwhp!).
I killed the motor 20 miles from home. It made it the whole way home. I had
a new motor sitting at home, and was broke, so I figured I'd just keep going to
get as close to home as possible.

I did that after I threw a rod in my NA supra. Drove it about 30 miles home and it ate about 1.5 gallons of oil. Made hella noise but still ran/idled. I sold the car later and the guy who took apart the motor said that one rod had a spun bearing and another had actually broken in half. :D

I miss my truck :(

it would run low on oil, make tons of valvetrain noise, throw oil in it and it would shut up

bought the damn 4x4 for $1K, and sold it years later for $2500... I would have kept it if it had A/C too...

i'll be putting A/C in mine. :) (after the 7m swap)
