Never diagnosed this myself but I would buy myself a bag of fuses, then unplug everything thats fairly easy. Window switches, climate control, light switches, etc. Put in a new fuse and see if it blows. If it doesnt blow, you plug things in until it blows. If it did blow right away then you gotta keep taking things offline.

If unplugging things doesnt work you could have a shorted wire. From there you have to start testing the wires to see if any have shorted out to ground. You can do this with a multimeter. Set it to continuity test then put one lead against a solid ground point. touch the other lead to wires in a manner that you can keep track of. If a wire is not a ground and you have continuity then that wire has shorted. The TSRM will be a helpful tool in identifying wires.

Also note that some wires/circuits will be grounded until power is applied to them.
(not correcting you Lewis, just adding to your comment... :))
