I'm feelin takin it to tubby, since I know itl get done rite and supeb quality, he's done two for me before andbith are still holding strong

I agree with IJ. Find a reputable machinist that you trust, because what you are dealing with is work that could potentially be the difference between having a strong engine or a blown engine. Having the block machined is absolutely crucial ESPECIALLY for the first time of putting a MHG on. I'd be quite suprised if a factory block that's had a BHG would meet the RA spec required for a MHG even in a "mild" case of leaking. Like said before, make sure the timing cover is machined with the block.

It takes a bit more effort, it will take more time, a little more money, but in the long run you'll be saving yourself from doing it all over again.

Hmmmm someone didn't read the whole thread before commenting, it's not the first mhg on this car, it's built quite well, And it is just a slight leak, and I already said I'm probably getting tubby to do it because we are good friends, I'm good to go now I think, I just gata get the fundage
