lol. I fill mine sitting flat on the ground, and never have a problem. I use a no spill funnel, but even without it, I can completely drain and refill my cooling system, and not have any trapped air.

same here. Granted, I've only done it once on the supra so far, but I didn't have a problem in the least.

all cooling systems need to be burped. Dunno what you mean by they dont. If you mean air shouldnt be getting in there then i guess ya, but air tends to get trapped in there after doing a cooling system flush and people usually just leave it.

He means just what he said and he's right. In a life time of working on cars I've come across only a handful that require bleeding and on those the cooling system configuration makes the need obvious. This car isn't one of them. In 20 years of owning mine I've never had to bleed it. Not once. Nor have I had to do it on any other Supra I've serviced.

I don't doubt some people have air but it's not from an inherent flaw in the cooling system design. More like leaks, indiscriminate/unintelligently done cooling mods, improperly installed thermostat, bhg, ect. Regardless, stating all cooling systems need burping is just wrong. If you don't want air in there to begin with fill the system properly. That means slowly. Even if air gets in it'll be automatically purged as long as everything is working right. Or vacuum fill it, which what I do these days.
