Black smoke after 2000rpm

:1zhelp:got on the eway this mornin my 89 7m turbo was boggin and blowin out black smoke when I got around two grand if you know what this is please let me know.

bogging and blowing out black smoke, sounds like a loose intercooler pipes. my tercel turbo did that once, the pipes came loose made no boost and ran super rich and black smoke was coming out.

Check for codes via tsrm first.

Then check all pipes/lines running to the turbo.

If all checks out well then most likely your turbo seals are goneeee =/

sounds like your ecu went into safe mode. code 52 perhaps

found a boost leak and a loose fitting near the mass air sensor, fixed and runs just fine
