Here's my POS. Previously owned/parted out by Clint G. When I heard he was parting it out, I couldn't help but think about what happened to his old gray car RIP and I couldn't let that happen to this one so I decided to buy the shell and save it from a sure death. I picked up a 1JZ August of 2012 with the intention of putting it in my white 87 but plans changed and the motor has been sitting ever since. Now I am just trying to piece together the swap and get this thing back on the road.
Enjoy!

that car was so far along before i can't believe he parted with it just like that. I like the jdm front lip, I actually prefer it to my Type G. I think I'm going to change mine up when I get a bodykit. I have a true twin turbo r but it was already missing from the get-go. =(

It was no easy choice to part with this car, and to go about it the way I did. However, when Jeff approached me with offering to buy the car as a whole made making my dissension much easier. In a way I passed the torch to Jeff with this car, as much history I have with this car I decided it was somebody else's time to enjoy it how I use to. I felt Jeff would be a perfect candidate to take possession, he is an enthusiast and has a lot of respect for these cars, I would of never of sold this car to just anybody nor send it to the crusher like what happened to my 88' with the last owner.

Looks good Jeff, I'm happy your taking your time with her.

Radiator Came in!

Got the motor on the stand

Albert came over and we tore it down to inspect the bearings and paint the block. The rod bearings looked amazing! Super happy about that

During the cleaning of the block we discovered a little problem :unsure:/>

Took the casings off the R154, cleaned and painted them. Took forever! Everybody that drove by looked at me like what the hell is this guy doing.

Bell housing came in so I painted it and slapped it on

Found a flywheel on Craigslist for a decent price, got ARP flywheel bolts put it on and mounted the trans

After all the work making the twins look good, Albert talked me into going single. After trading a few parts he gave me this.

Borg Warner s256, AGP 4960 Anti-surge housing 4" inlet 2" outlet, Master Power .68 A/R Exhaust housing. :wackit:

Ordered a few goodies from DM. After waiting for what seemed like forever they finally came in!

A year of bugging the hell out of my friend about his JDM tail lights finally paid off. Looks so much better with the TT-R trim than the American ones.

The cars current state

There is still a ton of stuff that needs to be done before I can drive this thing but it's getting there.
Here's a list of things that I'm waiting on

Map sensor
Intake temp sensor
Coils
Wiring
Oil line kit
Manifold/wg modified
Exhaust

Probably a lot I'm forgetting at the moment but I'll keep you guys updated as progress continues.

Nice car, I always saw it in your signature but never knew it was Black Ruby. That's definitely a very pretty color. Also, I like the three car garage filled with three Supras. Very Nice!

Update!!!

Picked up an uncut JZA70 harness, ECU, map sensor and intake temp.

Harness ran

Ran fuel lines for the dual walbros to a stock rail

Modified the chinafold for the wastegate to fit and welded a 90 on the turbo

First start!!!!

http://youtu.be/KYdNGlIwn_0

As you can hear the motor isn't firing on all cylinders. The previous owner of the harness was running a 2jz ECU and had the injectors set up for sequential. He said he changed it back to batch for a stock 1j ECU. I couldn't figure out the issue so I pulled car out to run some tests on the wiring for the injectors

Spent at least an hour trying to figure it out when I noticed the check engine light was on and thought I would check codes. When I popped Open the diagnostic box there was a jumper from FP to +B... Took that out and the car ran fine

Second Start!!
