Birmingham Supra with A curse

Childersburg AL,
My Supra starts fine but when i give it throttle it either cuts out or makes no change in rpm. sometimes if you ease on the gas it will very slowly rev.
It will pull its own weight with idle but you cant drive it.
When starting the car you do have to pump the gas to get it to fire, but after that it idles like a dream.

I was told it could be the fuel system, so i replaced the dirty old tank, installed a Walbro 255 with a new inline filter.
This helped idle and how fast it started, but once again if you try to rev the engine it cuts out.

Next i was told it could be a afm or turbo problem.
so i bought several afms and had the turbo professionaly built, but no changes. Ive checked the accordian hose for cracks and its fairly new so no leak there. I traced all intercooler piping for leaks which turned up nothing.
maybe bad plugs i thought, when i pulled them out they were sooty like a chimney, this lead me to think maybe a weak ignition was as fault.
Today i changes the coil packs, ignitor, and many of the grounds with 8ga wire, one from the head to body, one from coilpack cradle to body, and 4ga from the battery.

Now im at a stand still I dont have any check engine lights, and i know it works because it had a few when i got the car.
Any help will make me forever gratful, ive owned the car since late may and I havent drivin it yet. Its starting to get me down.

Did you replace the plugs after pulling them? What plugs are now in the car? Check the timing if its set at 10 degrees tdc. The first thing that comes to mind tho is a faulty o2 sensor which would result in a clogged cat or dirty injectors.

Childersburg AL,
Yes i did replace the plugs, it had Autolight copper plugs(previous owner)
I went back with a ngk platinum plug.
as far as the o2 sensor i have tried a couple diffrent ones, and the car has no cat.
one question though dosent the car have to get to a certain temp. before it uses data from the o2 sensor? I never run the car very long, i always change something, start it, and if theres no noticable change I shut it off. maybe i should run it longer?

As far as timing ill have to look up how to check that, i know its sad but setting timing on cars has always been my weak point....

Sounds like a problem I just had on my 7MGTE. It would cut out when given throttle, and sometimes would rev up. I thought it was the AFM at first as well, but after changing it, it still did the same thing. Ended up checking the timing and adjusting the CPS, and it worked.

Check your timing.

Childersburg AL,
Alright so i knocked off early from work so i could work on my Supra,
followed one of the threads on how to set my timing,I pulled the cps out and noticed there was hardly any resistance.(when i spun the gear)
just so happens my parts car had one laying around lol.
buttoned every thing up, and started it.

Purrs like a boosted kitten, Ive been on this forum for about a week and thanks to you guys its fixed.

Awesome! Yea, this problem confused me as well. My dad had put in the CPS and when we cranked it, we weren't getting throttle response. We decided to recheck the CPS and make sure the timing marks were lining up at TDC. Put it back together, and it ran great. :D

Childersburg AL,
^^^^^^wrong it didnt have any codes before i fixed it, no offense but im not an idiot.
this is my first turbo car, not my first car....

anywayz
now i have two codes a 41 and a 52
knock sensor and tps, i think the knock sensor put me in limp mode, i tried to piddle around my appartment and as soon as it hit 2k it acts like it hits fuel cut, anyone know if this is possible?
