Totally worth it. Lifetime warranty. Just scan the receipt and send a copy to your e-mail(s). I'm pretty sure these shocks aren't OMGWTFBBQKITTEN-race-class stuff, but for everyday street use and some track time, I'm sure they're great. Pay $400 + tax once in the car's life for a brand name set of shocks seems like one of the best bargains in the world. There's gotta be strings attached somewhere :p

I've never seen a blown bilstein that wasn't abused (jumping a truck off a 6' drop and bottoming the shock out internally causing failure).

Only had mine for 1 year about 20k miles and it just came apart... They were brand new.... So I don't know what you're getting at.... I haven't raced my car in a while and it's just my daily... Just bad luck... How many have you actually seen anyways? Y

Hello, I am wanting my car to sit 50mm lower and I am ordering a full set of bilsteins for my mkiii, if I am after a 50mm drop and I buy springs that have a total of a 30mm drop, am I right in saying -

The shock can be adjusted so that the effect of a 50mm drop is accomplished as the shock is "adjustable" and will then keep the spring captive?
Also, it has been mentioned that the shock can be customized to suit shorter springs in order of keeping them captive?

My plan is to buy a whole second set of struts and buying new springs/shocks then refurbishing the struts.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, where I live the laws are a bit different (100mm ride height to be legal, all springs captive). not sure if this is the same for you guys and I have only worked with double wish bone separate spring and shock set-ups before.

Thanks, any feedback is greatly respected.
