not much new, still stripping the paint (didnt realized the spray paint was on as thick as it is) but finally got my lower runners back and mocked up the surge tank
makeshift blasting booth (actually worked quite well, very minimal media spray in the rest of the garage)

wow dude!! this is coming along very nicely!! question- what made you decide to go with the 2jz runners? just to piss off that injector sandwich plate thingy or??
mainly since its a 2j plenum, but im not sure yet if it will clear the brake booster. if it does, ill have to modify it a little (only 3 of the holes match up), if not, ill have to make a bastard 1J/2J manifold for it
all the paint is off, layed the new seam sealer on, and started with filler.....the rain every day is kind of a bitch right now

I've always wanted to sandblast my engine bay, just don't have a garage or house to do it. Looks good so far, can't wait to see the finished product.

did a lil sanding and got the retaining nuts welded onto the flywheel

103 degrees outside but i got the first coat of primer down and started to wet sand it, gonna finish sanding this coat in the morning and spray on a 2nd coat in the afternoon........supposed to be around 110 with the humidity, so that will be fun.
hopefully will have the color down on friday before i head home to laguna for a couple weeks.
and i thought the lighting on this looked cool, just wish the car wasnt covered in newspaper

well, kind of hard to update this right now, my hard drives on my pc crashed, so i cant pull pics off my camera for the time being till i find the software cd and install it on the laptop.
but engine bay is painted, ended up just going with jet black, shows off the motor more at night time (which is mainly when the car will be driven)
also set the motor in today, and with the truck brake booster, the intake manifold clears no problem

from what ive seen on your build thread, yours will pay off much nicer than mine could hope for
