Hey Guys,
I’ve got a big problem. The other day I was driving my supra, down shifted to 2nd and got on it a little to about 5k rpm. Suddenly the car lost power and would not move if the rpm was over 1800 rpm. Also the engine would barely rum unless you revved it up and even so it sounded like the turbo was spooling at 1000 rpm. It turned out that to start this mess off, the alternator was bad and the only code it threw was code 11. After I got it to my house and change the Alternator the car started and died. When the car would start it would just be dumping fuel into the engine and smoke out the exhaust. After more troubleshooting I came to find out that the muffler on the car internally collapsed causing a major blockage and causing that turbo spool sound that I spoke of earlier. After removing the exhaust the car would only run when revving the engine and still no codes. When you try to drive the car it feels like its hitting fuel cut but at 1800 rpms. Also when you start the car with the afm plugged in it has a nasty idle loop and then dies but if you start the car with the afm plugged in then unplug it idles fine.
Hears what the cars got in it if any more info will help: newly rebuilt 7MGTE, JE pistons .20 over, eagle rods, ARP head studs and main studs, all new bearings, new oil pump, 2mm HKS MHG, 4 angle valve job, rebuilt Ct26, BIC DW DP, Custom 3in Catbak, 3in test pipe, K&N FIPK, HKS SSQV BOV, AFPR set to 38psi.
P.S. sorry for such a long post.
