I need to heat them according to the TSRM to 140* in order to remove the piston pin holding it to the rod and put new rods on. Any suggestions on how to heat them?

one at a time in the oven maybe..or soak them in water at 140..most water heaters put out up to 170*
either way be careful not to burn yourself...170* is more than enough to scald. coffee makers use 150* warmers.
im thinking oven now, mom flipped when I said using one of her pans with oiled up engine parts. 140* F, I think thats 60*C

Bah. Just put an extension into the pin, and tap the piston/pin assembly on a bench. The pin will come right out. Very easy to do.
could always go to goodwil buy a cheap concetion oven for 10 bucks and there you go and just keep it in the shop

yeah I actually tried the hot water with the first one, then realized it made no fucking difference. I did them all regular, no heating. Worked great, all the rods are switched over now, tomorrow after I go buy some parts Ill be good to go!
