Hello everyone. I recently bought a 7mgte with a fully rebuilt cylinder head etc, but the previous owner stripped out a head stud nut and ended up grinding the head of it down in the cylinder head, and then ran the car after he fixed it with all the shavings still in the head:aigo:. Anyways, i took the entire head apart, reset the camshaft oil clearances etc and now i have a bare head that needs to be cleaned. What are my options? Should i simply pressure wash the entire head and dry it and call it done? Or should i take it to a machine shop and have it professionally cleaned? The surface on the head is good because it was very recently milled. Anyways any opinions welcome, thanks.
Also, another question.. is it possible to buy one single headstud from ARP? The top of the stud is ground down and i need a new one, but all the rest are fine, and the nut and washer for that stud are fine as well. Thanks.
