$26 bucks for that adapter.

I always put them on the outlet hose, because that's the water leaving the engine so you know how hot it is. Who cares about the feed line, you'll just be measuring the water temp that was cooled by the radiator.

I tig welded a bung on my alumimum upper hardline for the water temp.

I wish I had seen that when I ordered their gauges. Looks like that's what I will get and also get the oil pressure while I'm at it to finish off my gauge cluster. Maybe dumb, but which one is the outlet hose? Also, do you know if the threads are the same for the stock temp sensor and an aftermarket one? That would be the easiest way. Thanks Ric.

Hey just replace the old sensor with your gauge one there is two temp sensors the one with 2 wires is for the ecu the one with 1 wire is for the gauge take out the 1 wire sensor tap out the hole or adapt in the new gauge sensor then hook up the original wire for both the gauge and sensor.

Lucky for me my stand alone ecu can turn on E-fans & use oem sensors.

That's what I did. I used an adapter that was M12 1.25 (I think) with a 1/8 npt port on the top. Put my defi gauge into the adapter and then the adapter into the stock location. The adapter cost me $10 and I didn't have to cut my radiator hose.

38mm if that's what you're wondering.

I just ordered the metric adapter kit and the hose adapter, wanting to move my probe from the water neck, and put the stock one back in it's place. As I recently found out, that having the stock temp probe in the radiator drain hole is what is causing the transmission to take forever to shift into OD. It won't do it until the stock probe sees 140*.

Yeah that's where I have mine now, but I had to move the stock temp probe to now be the radiator drain plug.

But having the stock sensor in the radiator leads it have a reading much colder than what the engine is at, thus not allowing the transmission to shift into OD. I'm sick of driving around forever @ 2500, 3000 in 3rd, waiting on it to finally shift. If it's done anything it's talked me out of getting a TH400 for a car I want to drive a lot.
