I want to go 1JZ, but if I do, I do not want to deal with the trouble of the stock twins. My conclusion is that it is luck which decides that they will blow or not, so I don't want to go through the trouble of it. What is the best path to take? I am not aiming for massive power. For now, around 300-350 RWHP will do

1) Buy a 1JZ longblock, and get all the missing parts and go CT26.
2) Just buy a front clip and sell the unneeded stuff.

Right now, I'm N/A auto, so I'm not sure which one I should do.

fwiw.. i regretted going single on my 1jz right from the get go..

I'd say #2.. Its a lot easier and cleaner (hydrofan, ps reservour etc).. In the end its worth it. it is cheaper to go the motorset route though

You'll probably spend the difference trying to obtain all of those hard to find parts.

I will agree, front clip is the way to go. DriftMotion has some pretty cheap front clips.
