What is the best ignition timing to run on an 1988 turbo with intake, 3" elbow back exhaust. 93 octane, Autolite plugs?
I have a dyno day coming up and I wanted to run through some pretune options

I'm not going to bother with a guess, but, for anyone else to give you a recommendation they'll probably want a little more info: what temp. spark plugs, what gap, how many psi of boost, stock HG?

well i'll start.
spark plug is an autolite 3923 gaped to .28
want to push 14-16 psi of boost at dyno. normal psi is 10-12
i'm going to say yes it is stock HG but the previous owner said he rebuilt the motor but i'm not sure.

well i've seen people running 12-14* btdc in the past. I know stock is 10*btdc. what is the advantage or any to running retarded timing?

well i can run up to 14.5 then i hit fuel cut before I moved the afm screw all the way out from the 3/4 in from stock. 16psi mark is probably a dream but we'll see.
