Well im gonna be gettin an exhaust as my first upgrade and i was trying to find out what the best 1 would be. I was thinking that the RSR exhaust would be best because of its low sound at driving speed. Well any help would be nice thanks.

I really love my Blitz nur spec. 3in turbo back no cats and the NUR spec sounds so mean. It does have an incredibly bassy drone at cruise under load though. Full SS polished. I would say that out of the aftermarket options its the best. The problem I saw with RSR was that the piping wasn't stainless, only the can. I wouldn't want my $500 exhaust rusting on me.

I have a JIC Bullit on the supra and OBX on the Cressida

I need to quiet the cressida down though. With my daughter in the back seat, I'm sure that thing is ringing her ears.

All depends on what you are looking for & how you plan on using the car. I use my car as a personal luxury auto. Different systems have different advantages. What may be best for one may not be the best for another. I just posted on the muffler thread but I discussed my whole exhaust as well. Maybe for you; maybe not.

I just know I like my set up; you probably won't.
I have both cats, then custom piping that is welded to a glass pack muffler, then exits to a pipe & a dual tip.
I love the sound of my car. It sounds deep & mellow. I guess my cats absorb all the sound because without a resonator or muffler, my car is still on the quiet side. On my car, all you see is the dual tip coming out, the muffler is more towards the middle of the car than other set ups. I also seem to have a higher clearance than others have. I can't have it catching speed bumps you know;)
But then again, my car was not set up for insane hp numbers either.

best hp over stock regardless of legality?
open 3" dp/elbow combo. bic ddp, defcon dp, megan dp, suprasport dp, so on... any 3" dp that is one piece and bolts directly to the turbo.
that's where the most power will come from. no backpressure after the turbo.

Johnny D has a Super Dragger. Ive ridden in his car several times and can tell you, its one of the best exhausts out there. Its a lil too quiet for my taste, but thats wha a lot of people like. If you want one of the best flowing and one of the quietest, go with the Super Dragger. He runs a BIC DDP to testpipe to HKS Super Dragger, great setup.

I LOVE my exhaust, but I can tell its a lil too loud for most peoples taste. I run the same as Johnny except with a custom HKS Carbon/Ti instead of the Super Dragger. Its definately louder and resonates a lil more in the cabin, but I LOVE IT. Its got a deeper, more throaty tone to it, IMO. I'm gonna post up some sound clips as soon as I get back to my car.

Man, if they made the HKS 75mm Turbo exhaust in stainless, and with a bigger diameter, I would buy it again. Like.. HKS 95mm Turbo SS [I can dream]. I had it - it's only made in alluminized steel and it corroded so badly.. it's insane. Florida's salty humidity must eat these things just as bad as up north with salt on the roads in the winter. The exhaust was excellent, aside from this crippling factor. It was quiet, but meaner than stock, LOOKED like a stock exhaust but better, so it was an amazing sleeper exhaust system, and had excellent tone while pushing 12psi all the way to redline in 3rd. If you want pics of this exhaust installed on my car, click on one of the links below.

Hi PRpimp3o3

I have the following set up.

SS Turbo Elbow..... much better flow than the stock Turbo Elbow
RT Downpipe..... I chose this as it had a flexible joint, and there is a reduced scraping hazard if I lower my car
HKS Dragger Exhaust.... The sound and the name says it all! :icon_cool
I also chopped out my cats so it is free flowing right from the Turbo back.

It was worth ever penny spent!

If you are looking for a nice sounding quiet exhaust, the HKS Dragger, HKS 75mm sport, the Tanabe hyper Medallian, and the greddy SP are all good choices. I have heard the two HKS's in person and my car has the Tanabe. Too me the Tanabe is by far the best choice since its all stainless steel, and it costs much less than the Dragger and a little less than the HKS sport. Not sure about the Greddy, but I'M pretty sure its more expensive than the Tanabe, while still not being stainless steel.

I'm really fond of my Tanabe hyper medallion. Mandrel bent 80mm stainless piping, livable noise levels on long trips and it carries a reasonable price tag (~$225 less than the HKS dragger). I'm currently using a 3" stainless DP and a SS 3" elbow but if I was doing it all over again I'd opt for a BIC DP.

I have a 3" crush bent Exhaust with a ATR pitbull muffler and a Flowmaster resinator and a cut out for the track. I got sick of getting pulled over for loud exhaust, so i made it nice and Quiet the slapped a cutout in. best of both worlds IMO, I might get an electric one sometime.
It may not be SS and Mandrel bent, but I dont drive my car in the winter and there is no salt air here in the Midwest.
