Any way to make one where the wastegate tube extends a little higher and straight up with a V Band conncetion, my car is rhd and I don't want the wastegate to be leaning against the clutch master cylinder

Yeap, It's been done, but on a MKiv which has less space then the MKIII.

do divided mani's and turbos really help spool the turbo faster?

Yes it seperates pulses that interfere with each other Ball Bearing is a must for quick spool also

T4 divided aka split pulse design on ball bearing and try to stay with "V" band designed clamps FTMFW!

GT35R will spool up verry fast GT40 will lag a little bit more but more people swear by them.
