Yes you go with a GM 3" MAF. or you can go MAFless, I'm still doing my research myself and this is most likely what I will go with soon.

you can't go MAFless... but you can put the MAF in your IC lines and then just do an intake to the turbo...

Nope, with the pro model you can put in a MAP sensor instead, that can go right in the manifold.

PS: Now you know why searching for 20 minutes didn't turn up any definitive answers - nobody can agree on this topic!

What would be a good suitable one for a low budget setup? I just want one to control from inside the car and will only be running stock CT26 and maybe 10-12 psi max.
Bascially what's best bang for the buck for a low budget BPU supra?
heres a little diy one i made,

it switches from two boost settings with a switch mounted on your dash and costs about $50 to make, the most expensive part is the solenoid so if you can salvage one from a junked car (just your basic 12v open/close solenoid) it'll be even cheaper

as far as ebc's, i like turbosmart's e-boost

HKS EVC 5 I love this controller. When you go from a home made manual boost controller made from parts at Fleet Farm cut and brazed to this... you feel a bit spoiled.

HKS EVC 1- old school! easy to set up install and minus hitting it with a hammer cant break it. the avcr and e01 etc can be a bitch to set up correctly and if you do something wrong it can bitch to you. fuzzy logic sobs ;)

I'm 100% satisfied with my blitz SBC-ID, it has great warning features, its easy to use, great boost display (peak and hold gauge in PSI). I actually installed it in front of the stock boost gauge and it looks awesome there. I'd definately recomend it. I got a great deal on it too, for 300 shipped.. usually you'd be lucky to get it for 400 shipped.

I had the greddy ones and this time I was enquiring about the AVCR and heard mixed reviews, specially about the setup.
I went ahead and bought the AVCR , and I think It was one of the best decision concerning boost controllers.

Its simple to hookup and seting up a breeze, not as hard as most had made it sound to be.
Holds boost real good and displays a bit more than just boost and vacuum.

I like the AVCR a lot ...
