I have no problems with my K&N, seems to work great for me.

The rear wiper motor is often a culprit - it's easy to check, just pull the plastic panelling off the hatch and check it out. Needless to say, if the motor is all rusted to hell, it won't work properly... like my antenna motor. :(

I use K & N FIPK (or something like that), no problems. They do say that the oil can cause problems getting into the intake and clogging the AFM. If I had to do it now, I'd just get a generic K & N cone filter with an adapter and save abouit $100. Also I wouldn't get the cleaning kit since K & N says you should not clean the filter too often. It performs best a little dirty...........?
I had an HKS foam filter. It seems to show dirt easily. I switched because I just can't see foam filtering small particles and I did the NA>T conversion so I had a different AFM. The K & N seems constructed heavier, not so much plastic.

Why buy a K&N when you can buy an Apex-I Power intake that Flow better, Filters better and is Cheaper than an FIPK?

K&N FIPK's are junk compared to Power intakes unless you know someone who can get you the K&N unit for dirt cheap or you found it in the garbage somewhere.

Stay away from everything else and buy the Apex-i unit.

LOL... HPF automatically gives you a 1% discount for buying stuff off teh internets. but, Jeff will sometimes quote me prices that are better than the Shopping cart function on HPF... Jeff has helped us out ALOT in the past few months, and has a few thousand dollars of my friend's money too. i send him business and he helps us out. So, I heart you Jeff!

and i have this fleeting urge to be actve in the MK3 community. it helps me gain ambition to work on Supras and the Ambition to spend money on them... Ambition to work on it is easy to come by, but ambition to spend $1200 on pistons and rods ALONE is whole different ballgame!

im gonna have to check it out and see what happened.

Thanks for the nod of approval Ken! you should see the polished classics on these cars, they look freakin awesome. you could also do the 500's. i was diggin the 500's on the MK3 for a few weeks!
