Best 3 inch QUIET Muffler?

I have an Apexi N1 with silencer, and I miss the sound of my stock exhaust, but need the 3 inch exhaust so the stock muffler will not do

Any ideas on stock sounding high flow mufflers? Not looking to spend much, but I don't want attention, and am getting it as my exhaust can be considered obnoxious.

Here's a video of my exhaust. No resonator, High flow cat. Pretty quiet overall, and people usually accredit that to the Tanable style muffler. Bigger oval style ones will usually be quieter and lower.

Go with a Tanabe touring medallion, or if you can find one used, a Hyper medallion.

Also check out Raptor Racing and BIC (sponsors here). They both have quiet exhausts for sale, and very stock looking.

Honestly you're not going to run 3" piping to one muffler and get it quiet. You'll need at least one resonator, and even then, 3" and high flow AND quiet doesn't add up.

I don't consider mine to be obnoxiously loud, but it's definately louder than stock (stock is dead quiet) and the look doesn't call attention to my car as much either.

I have the Raptro Racing exhaust, pics are in their part of the forums...

I have the HKS Dragger system and it is quieter than my stock system only because it had a couple of leaks lol but it is overall a quiet and sounds very nice

ha, and all this time i thought my n1 was quiet...well compared to the rice muffler that was on my teg and the muzzy pipe on my zx7. agreed though, youre not going to quiet it down to stock or even near stock without a resonator and a highly packed muffler.

how old is the n1? maybe the fiberglass packing is just getting old. when i bought my muzzy it had all settled about halfway down the resonator tube in the muffler. its really common to re-pack bike mufflers so drilling rivits and removing an end cap is a snap...i dont really know how youd do it to the n1, if you could find a way im sure if you got some good dense material itll help a lot...better for flow too if the packing did what it did on my bike.

sorry it doesnt help much, just my plan when mine starts getting "obnoxious"...actually nah, fuck the neighbors, my car sounds sick

ive heard flowmaster on a couple 240's and it sounded good...not really my thing, i want the big ass pipe hanging off the tail...maybe not as huge as the n1, but you know the look...give the car a lot more attitude with stock bodywork

Tanabe Medallion Touring
HKS Turbo (looks like stock too)

Flowmasters sound nice. My boy Ray had it on his SC.
