WTF they charge $20 shipping on a $10 part that is plastic. I'll wate.
That's what I thought at first when I placed an order, but once you enter your address it'll calculate the real shipping charge. Still though my $16 in parts no heavier than an ant turd turned into $25 after shipping. :(

FYI I have short throw shifter, not sure if it's the ebay one or c's(it came with the car), and the marlin crawler socket bushing at the end of the shifter doesn't grab the ball like the Toyota bushing, seems too big to me, so I ended up buying a new Toyota piece. To anyone with the marlin bushing, does it fit the stock shifter without falling off?

The MC bushing fits perfectly on my stock shifter. It's a tiny bit looser than the stock Toyota one but my Toyota one was ancient and really hard.

Took me about 30+ minutes to wrestle it in using the method provided in the video.

Same here. I had to make use of a freaking rubber sledge hammer I was so pissed off..

I remember reading through one of the MC threads that MC redesigned the bushing not to long ago. We may have received the older one. All know is, that bushing is NOT coming out. Ever.

I changed my bushings to a toyota cup and green truck bushing. Work about the same as the MC and were about $14 from my dealership with no discount. ;)

trans prob had about 180k on it but i forget.. the bushing was flattened out pretty bad and the cup was very deformed.

how could you tell what gear you were in :aigo:

Paying attention. push way left, you get 1 and 2. push way right you get 5 and R. let it settle, 3 and 4... i guess driving stick is 2nd nature anymore after owning 6 five speeds.

BTW, how hard was it for you to get the bushing into the socket? Took me about 30+ minutes to wrestle it in using the method provided in the video.
it wasnt that bad, i got it about 3/4 of the way by squeezing it so it kinda turned oval then used a hammer and screwdriver with a towel on the end to tap it into place... took a little bit of force, but a tight fit is good! :naughty:
