Biggest issue with runout on our rotors is from the lugnuts.
ALWAYS use a torque wrench set to 75 ft/lbs to prevent the pulsing pedal feel...
As for bedding in pads I just drag the pedal around the speed the car will see the most of until I can smell the resins boiling, I then cruise around to cool everything back down before stopping the car.
As a kid I worked as a brake machinist for a couple of years and we had a ruch pads and rotors job late Friday afternoon, the customer was freaking out as she had to be somewhere so the boss let her take the car without me bedding the pads....
She rang back 15 minutes later crying and told us the car was stuck in traffic and wouldn't move, couldn't be pushed.
We sent a tilt tray truck to collect the car and when it returned I found it had boiled the resin in the pads in traffic then at a set of lights this had bonded the pads to the discs!
I had to airchisel the pads free and turn the discs.
