Ok, I know this has been covered countless times, and yes I have read about every thread I could find but just want a little reasureance. When replacing rod and main bearings if my clearances are between .021-.053 I would be fine using standard bearings correct?

You seem to be missing a decimal place. Are you saying that your oil clearence, bearings installed, is between .021 and .053????? You should be between .0012 and .0025 on the mains and .0010 and .0019 on the rods

The max should never be over .0028 for the main or rods at stock oil pressure and flow.

You'll never know until you actually replace the bearings what sizes you need. I'm not sure how the 7M works, but on the 1,2JZs, there are 6 main bearing sizes. Replace all bearings with the same size they were, then check clearances, and if any are out, resize, and replace again.

clearancing worn bearings won't tell you anything.
