batt readings on safcII

The lights seem to go dim but to be honest not really.. But the numbers do go down.. From like 14.3 to about 12.8 or so. But just the other day when I mentiioned I fixed the problem I turned on the lights and it held from 14.2v to 14.1 and I figured I fixed the problem. But then it does it again!

Somebody has to have more info.. The car still has a unexplained drain of power. The safcII shows 14.3v right at startup but over time the damn thing does the voltage dip thing when I turn on the headlights.

the SAFC is reading voltage at the computer, not battery voltage. This probably varies about 1-1.5 volt from the actual reading. My SAFC reads about 12.2-11.8, depending on if my fans are on or not. The lowest I have seen under the hood with fans, heater, headlights, wipers, and radio on was 12.90 V.....

And under the hood do u mean that the reading of 12.9v is from the alternator power post to the negative post on the battery?
