Feel absolutely free to call BS on the 3.2L issue, I did so myself after I actually sat down and did the math (like I said eariler, it would end up being a .118" overbore). I highly doubt it was stroked. It is probably an overbore, by what size I do not know. I don't actually feel awful, i'm kinda glad you people are here to set me straight.

If I had a weekend or longer where I didn't have to go anywhere, i'd check the rods to see what was actually going on with them. Previous owner may have gotten them confused with another aftermarket set, I don't know. More on that after I find out.

Camshafts- Previous owner didn't actually tell me what they were. I found out for myself when I was changing the plugs last week. XX341 embossed right on them. where XX was some letters that I have written down somewhere, but not in my head.

I agree with the buyer beware comment, but like I said earlier, I have absolutely no regrets or complaints about the car. It's been reliable and fast for me for over 12000 miles. If he gave me misinformation, i almost don't want to blame him for it, as I think some of it may have been there before he bought it. He didn't overcharge for it, especially since it was in very nice shape, lightly modified, and extremely rare in this area. I can tell he liked his car, but he seemed to know what he was doing and not have a clue at the same time.

Anywho, i think it's time to give the old girl a wash and a wax. I just realized htat I've never posted any pictures of her on the forums. Nothing special to look at, really, but it's nice to have viewing material anyway.

Thanks for all of your help. I'll post my investigation results and possibly dyno numbers as I get them.

Man I have to say, if more newbies to this forum were like you it would be a real treat to cruise the introductions section. You are polite, humble and well spoken all at the same time, a rarity for supra enthusiast sites. It also sounds like you have the perfect attitude for the car, and in all honesty you have probably already put more miles on your current supra than a LOT of the people on this site (due to breakdowns or long builds on limited budgets), so more power to ya. Dont get all caught up in the "sickness". If I were you I would forget all about the numbers and just enjoy your car like you have.

Thats what I decided to do this time around myself.

I didn't really read the thread but I saw stock CT-26 so there is your limiting factor. I don't think you would see much over 300 whp without switching turbo's.

Wow guys, I didn't expect this to generate the amount of discussion it has. Thanks. I'm definitely not looking to make a 500+ hp monster out of my car. Someday, I'd like to see maybe 300 at the wheels, but I'm not dying to get there. The car has done over 150, and that's fast enough for me. The way I see it, the car was designed and built as a GT, and that's how I like them. I'm not saying that I'm opposed to squeaking what you can out of them. I've read over a lot of members' builds and dyno numbers, and I have to say I'm really impressed.
I think the most I really plan on doing is getting the car breathing a little better without changing many more components out. Currently, i'm going to see if the cams are where they should be and check out the fuel mapping and ignition. That, and fix some of the minor electrical gremlins screwing with me. When I take it off the road in the winter, i'm going to check out the injectors and cylinders to see if they're in good shape and give it a nice paint job. Good lord does it need a paint job.

Nothing too drastic- the car runs perfectly as it is up to 15psi (at which point I realize that i'm at 15psi, and have images of a BHG and slow down a bit) and gets pretty good fuel mileage while its at it.

If I find a good deal on another one, I'd get it for my father and I to dick around with. Also, if I can find a decent shell for not so much money, I have an extra Jaguar 5.3L V12 lying around that I might want to experiment with :-D Maybe once I'm fully in the Navy and have more discretionary income.

At any rate, took some pictures after I cleaned it off and waxed it. Will post tomorrow when I get to work. It's a good feeling to have people compliment your car whenever you stop at a gas station, especially people who know and appreciate what it is.

Thanks again for your suggestions. I'll definitely be looking into them soon.
