He guys, well about 4 days ago i threw on a set of brand new NGK wires and NGK plugs, the car ran fine up until last night. So i go out last night ran pretty good out of boost, then i went to WOT and as soon as it hit 4K in 3rd gear it started to miss pretty heavily all the way to redline, and did it for the rest of the night. So i go out to start it today, and what do you know it takes like 8-10 seconds of cranking to actually stumble and then start. so i take it out run it through the gears a few times to redline and stumbles as soon as it hits 4K under boost. then when i pull back in to park i let it idle for a while and it starts to miss every now and then, then i could rev it a little and a bunch of white smoke flies out, along with a slight miss. I dont know everything that can go wrong does go wrong with these cars, thanks in advance guys!

Maybe... however, you mucked with the plugs and wires, so that's more likely.

What type of plugs did you put in? Are they the right height? If they aren't, the plug boots tend to pop off, especially when they are new and springy.

Well, i just checked the boots, and everything checked out. but it still misses. its weird b/c if it was the Cam position sensor, wouldnt it miss a lot more noticably, i mean you can ease the throttle open and hold it to 1500RPM and hear the miss, its very slight and not on pattern. but when your driving it only starts to miss, and i mean miss really hard under boost. Its not fuel cut is it? I really payed attion to the boost gauge today and it only runs at like 6.5psi, and 7.5-8psi when i shift and begin a new gear. You guys have ANY idea, please give some opinions, thanks.:1zhelp:

I know when I took out my Denso platinum spark plugs, and installed NGK's, the car developed a miss like you are describing, but not quite as bad I don't think...Anyway, I switched back to the old Denso plugs, and it ran perfect again. That was over a year ago, and I still have the same plugs, and my 7M still idles perfectly. Denso FTW!

sorry to hear that just did mine if you are just doing stock boost just get the headgasket kit which comes will all the gasket just check the head for warpage or get it milled for straightness and clean up the block. And get some new stock bolts or arp bolts your choice. good luck
