about a month ago i applied for a job at americas tire co. and the employer was gonna hire me all i had to do was sign paperwork, do a drug test and a background check, i passed the drug test but i was removed from the hiring process due to my background and they told me it was because of my driving record:3d_frown: , and once i get it cleared theyll consider me for employment again, i go to the dmv and they didnt help much, just told me it will be on my record for 3 years. im wondering if there is a way to prevent them from seeing my record, i did a little research and found stuff about expunging, can i expunge my driving record?

:1zhelp:

you probably have a misdemeanor under your record, misdemeanors clear within 4 years. i think the only way you can clear it if you create a case and win it. otherwise you have to wait 4 years. btw speeding ticket, wreak less driving, etc etc. = misdemeanor. this information is to my knowledge.

A speeding ticket is an infraction, not a crime.
Reckless driving is a gross misdemeanor punishable up to a year in jail, and a max. fine of $5000. ;)

Do you have a lot of money for an attorney? "Usually" you have to wait a certain number of years before you can expunge a crime. Sometimes the person may only get the option to expunge their most recent conviction. Check with the CHP. They would know for sure. You can also go to them for your complete driving record. They will have to get it from Sacramento though.

Learn how NOT to have a bad driving record? If you have speeding, reckless driving, and especially DUI or DWI tickets, not to mention any ticket that proves you caused an accident, you'll find it hard to get a job anywhere in the automotive business. This due mainly to the fact that they're insurance has certain stipulations. That, and they wouldn't want you driving a customer's car if you drive like an idiot.

The only way you're going to find out about expungment for your driving record is to go talk to a lawyer.

mr. ticket ;)

http://www.yelp.com/biz/mr-ticket-san-diego

knew someone before who went through this guy and had a pretty bad driving record as well. they swore by him. from what they told me they got their record wipped clean or some shit thanks to mr. ticket.

i spoke to mr. ticket once as well almost 2 yrs ago...my b/f got 3 tickets in one month while he was living in arizona so i called mr. ticket for him. 2 of the tickets were in cali up by barstow and the other was in nevada. he couldn't do anything about the ticket in nevada, but did give some some helpful advise w/that one. seemed like a pretty nice guy.
