i have an 87 turbo supra. it will run fine untile it gets up to normal operating temp. after it reaches normal temp everytime i try to boost it hesitates and misses and studders followed by a really loud backfire. i just did the timing belt on it last week. i took a timing light to it today and noticed that when it gets warmed up the timing mark is WAY advanced. when i first started the car up after doing the timing belt i had to advance the CPS to get it to idle.now i thought that i may have messed up a little on the timing but, the part that confuses me is that it only screws up after it gets warmed up. any ideas thanks

Your getting knock related codes. Your ECU is detecting knock caused by your rediculously advanced timing, and making adjustments to keep you from destroying your motor. Stop driving it and adjust your timing. Shouldnt take more than 10 minutes even if its your first time. Set it to 10*BTDC with TE1 and E1 jumped. Clear codes and try again.

^^ just what I was gonna say. Jump E1 and TE1 in the diagnostic box next to the fuse box. That is the correct way to doing timing. From there with the jumper off and vehicle up to norm temp... timing should be at 15 degress BTDC.

Your are supposed to set the timing when the car is warm at operating temp.
Jump the E1 and T as if you are checking the codes hook the timing light up and set it at 10* btdc.. after that is done... remove the jumper and recheck your timing.. it should be between 12* and 15* btdc.
