Hello.. Just starting to get back into the car game again. Been a member of SF.com for a long time and was off the wagon for a while, but I just picked up a 92 Teal Turbo Non-Targa Sunroof w/ 170k km with a BHG.. A bit of work but there is potential.

Say goodbye to a bunch of money! And maybe a few ricers afterwards :evil2:

Thanks... No pics yet, will try and get some tomorrow.

For plans.. cuz of the BHG, definitely looking at dumping it and going straight to 1J.. haven't decided on a final HP goal yet, but kinda thinking 450-500 tops :D

btw - if anyone has a front bumper, passeger side mirror, or center piece of the tail lights, please pm me - these items are damaged on the body and need replacing :)

Hey there, nice ride. I currently own a '92 teal and I'm getting some other supramania members their opinion on keeping the original color or changing.

Good luck with the 1j drop if you go that route. I've read that to swap the 7m motors for a 1J can be VERY expensive. But with high horsepower goals and a very reliable setup, this must be the way to go. Best of luck to ya

The way I figure, the best way to treat a rare vehicle such as a 92 Teal is to keep it OEM.. if you wanted to change the paint, why not get a generic white or red 90... I think you'd get more value/appreciation from keeping it stock color)

I've done the 1J swap in my previous '90 - no, it wasn't cheap, don't for a second think that all it takes is a $1900 motor/ecu/tranny from jhot or similar, and a bit of elbow grease. I figure when all is said and done, the 1j job will end up costing in the neighbourhood of 4-5k if I keep stock twins (which is unlikely given my HP goals)...
