Dmanit, im not really concerned about TEMS, but thats goning to suck if it causes me to lose ABS. But your right they all have their own controller so, and i dont want this thing throwing CELs either???

Well I can tell you the speedo has nothing to do with ABS. thats what your wheel sensors are for. The speedo output to the ECU has to do with fueling and detecting engine load. Based on vehicle speed, MAF reading, and other inputs it determines air density and engine load to assert a proper amount of fuel. My car on its previous engine with the previous owner had the speed sensor disconnected and when he boosted it leaned out and developed a rod knock and that was on stock boost levels as well

(cough) down shift chrip ,2 way lsd, corner wtf no brakes

don't think the one off the speedo is that importain when it all ready has sorcer from the trans sencer and goes right into the ecu

i also know the spd signal is used for auto trans shifting. the ect ecu looks at sp1 (speedo signal) and sp2 (rear speed sensor). if the 2 signals do not match it will set a code 61 and will go to a default shift table. also, it is a digital signal, you can see it with an o'scope. i can't confirm if it uses the spd signal for fuel mapping, but the above i do know for sure.

marlin rock crawler makes an adapter for the speedo, and dakota digital sells a signal box with analog/digital outputs.
