hi, I was just wondering how much power will the automatic tranny hold? Does anyone make a shift kit for it? my car is stock, but will like to push at least 300whp, is that a ok number?

i dont know how much HP it can handle. thats the hp im gonna try to put through mine. because im turboing my NA motor. but i just figured out a way to make it shift faster and harder here is the link to my post its on the 2nd page.

i was told no more then 400hp on a well taken care of tranny by a supra guy whos had his share of auto supras.

That is assuming stock applications.
Great point and advice though. Get a real cooler. Even the things Uhaul sells is better than plumbing it through the radiator.

I have been using that setup on the NA motor for almost two years now and had no problems.
I am also using that setup on my new auto tranny and turbo setup along with shimmed actuators and a fluidline extra heavy duty cooler. I will be running around 350-400hp...as everyone else said, the thing that kills the a340e the most is heat, so dont cheap out on the cooler your tranny will thank you for it later:icon_bigg
