it actually sounds like it might be the torque converter, sounds like a big high pitched bee is stuck in there :p
i got lazy when the trans went out a while back and had a local shop put in a used auto trans...would they have maybe messed up the converter? the car runs great for a N/A but it's kinda embarassing pulling up to a stop and the car is makin a bunch of noises (brakes squeal too) <---i'll post on this too separately
just yesterday i found one of the noises, a clunking/knocking sound was my crank pulley bolt was loose...how do i hold the motor from turning so i can tighten it properly? since it's an auto there isn't any access to the flywheel to hold the motor...

Might have an improper amount of fluid...

As for the crank pulley, put it in gear and yank the parking brake..

I'm sure he checked the fluid level, and made sure its at the correct level.:biglaugh:

Its an automatic, so he can't do that. I put a bolt into one of the threaded holes, then use a large screwdriver or prybar wedged, and then tighten mine by hand with a 1/2" breaker bar.

Then for added tightness, I hit the bolt for just an instant with an impact gun.

The buzzing could be the line pressure regulator or relief valve. Or a worn torque converter.

yeah fluid level is good...i think i'm gonna put the converter from the auto out of my project car into the daily driver since i bought a manual for the project...and while i have the trans out i'll just use a flywheel wrench to hold it thanks for the idea's though :)

My buzzing was the converter. The pump and valve body was also full of clutch/brake fines.
Suprra girl, did you find a reason for your #2 speed sensor code? (Code 61)
I have that one, but havn't gotten very far in diagnosis. Too many other problems to fix first.

LOL haven't quite finished with code 61 yet

have checked the speed sensor wire all the way to the ecu and it checks out perfect
i haven't checked the ground wire from the sensor yet but that can be the only culprit as sensor works, ecu's have been changed with various others still the same

and if the ground wire checks out

well i'm screwed! LOL

and so the last testing for code 61 ended today!

turns out my ground is shite!!!
testing the sensor itself it is grounded perfect, once installed back in the tranny i have varied readings (constantly changing)

so the next trick i'll be doing is making another ground wire and connecting it directly to the sensor to chassis and hopefully that will fix it :)

i'll be making a thread devoted to code 61 :)
