auto tranny stop leak stuff, good or bad?

is automatic transmission stop leak good, or bad?

my dad has a tractor with a hydrostatic transmission and it has a bit of a leak, he was hoping the stuff could fix it.

but i was a bit worried it might damage something, knowing how those miracle solvents work.... i know the idea of clogging a leak isnt rocket science and can be done but is it bad?

i was just wondering if anyone can tell me some pros/cons and maybe what it actually does to stop the leak.

Trans stop leak is a "NO-NO" !!
Fix the leak properly, or keep feeding it oil.

ok. thanks. the only problem is its a rather complicated setup crammed underneath the seat of the tractor so its hard to tell where the leak is coming from. i'll let him know though. thanks guys .
