Yes, All years.

Some European country's got manual folding mirrors.

While Japan got electric mirrors, I'm not sure if anywhere else did.

Did I read it correct that they are electric (as far as retracting in and out form the door)? Is this an aero-dynamic thing?

I have those manual folding ones, never folded them though :) Though this could be good in parking lots, cause people don't pay attention, and can ram the mirrors with their bodies :D

It's a parking thing, yes they are electric retracting. They're nifty, but generally useless except for novelty.

That's awesome! I'm not sure why I like it so much, but I do.

Aren't they a little smaller or more swoopy shaped? Seemed to me I remember them as being a bit sexier than standard mirrors.

They look very similar to the 89+ USDM mirrors, the pre-89 ones were larger.

these mirrors are much stouter than the North American units also. A casted frame. I sport them. :) Euro's that is.

In fact I have one set left for sale...hint hint.

yeah, someone walking into a mirror can rip it off pretty easy

breakaway mirrors where instated because of pedestrian injuries IIRC, and was instated other places of the world before the US...

The MK2 had spring-loaded folding mirrors to prevent damage.

I like the power folding mirrors because every time someone knocks my mirror in in a parking lot, I can hit a button, and it'll go back out.

plus it gets laughs at the drag strip when you fold them in when staging.

Thanks for the link. They look way sleeker. I love the electric fold in.

Also, they seem to be slimer and a bit longer, which I think would offer more rearward view (farther into the next lane). Plus, since they automatically fold in when you park, the extra length won't result in them getting knocked around.

I like em! It's a bolt-up right?
