How is our Aussie SM family fairing with the fires?
Sounds pretty devastating from what we're hearing.
Hope they catch the arsonist(s).

Fine here I live in an urban area so no threat but my favourite piece of road in the country is in the path of the fires today, I hope the people that live there are smart enough to evacuate well before the front get's there as they have NO CHANCE of getting out on that road.
we live right near the relief center so it's pretty devastating the current situation. We've got family friends out near some of the bigger fires and some of our favorite locations for weekends away / long drives are completely wiped off the map

In the last 2>3 months I've driven through just about every town that's been hit so far 
Can't believe Kinglake and Marysville are gone I was in both 2 weeks ago...
173 dead so far and they're just getting into the towns to search.

Fking Krudd's "donation" was insulting... It was not even 5% of what has been pledged to overseas countries in foreign aid.
And the banks & top 200 companies giving $1m tops is even more insulting, especially considering the record profits CBA announced the other week, and the fact that Westpac just raised over $2b in equity. Wesfarmers (coles) is also in the process of raising a few billion in equity, so it's not like any of these businesses couldn't afford more.
