my thoughts were right, but my wordings were wrong
problem was actually caused by being more mathmatically minded than engrish minded
i allways used to watch movies like cool runnings as a kid, and think,
"damm it must of been cold at -20*f"
considering at that age, i knew that like 25*c = something like 90*f, or some large gap basically.
only until later realising the that the americans ( or whoever came up with the f scale, ) wanted to be illogical, and the scales wernt the same as *c or K
