I just found a JAZ70 complete car for $3000 needs minor work actualy he haves two cars.
The guy and a couple people told me they legaly register 9 digit vins vers 10 digit USA vins goto chp dmv then REF and pass such cars as RHD skylines integras RHD with JDM engines and a handfull of even new cars dont come with EGR CA street legal. The speed shop told me complete cars in USA past customs usualy dont get DOT inspections but they are verry strong on passing SMOG so if the car is a complete JZA70 supra which did get into canada and usa accepts canadian cars federaly is it possible to do this legal like everyone says.
The reason I ask is because I know a handfull of people driving RHD or skylines with cars that never were sold or made into the USA but original and passed and are street legal is this really possible and as easy as they tell me.

you will not be able to register a 1jz powered car here as is.

motorex skylines were legal to drive in the streets until the owner decided to be a sneaky little gnome and register different models of skylines to the R33 ( i think). motorex paid crash testers to test a R33 GT(?) and only received an approval stamp on that one model, and he stole lots of money from his customers. he also stole their cars, and scammed like no tomorrow.suprastanger507mgte;1072347 said:There is a reason MOTOREX is not allowed to bring in skylines anymore.

customs.gov said:For Customs clearance you will need the shipper’s or carrier’s original bill of lading, the bill of sale, foreign registration, and any other documents covering the vehicle. You will also be required to complete EPA form 3520-1 and DOT form HS-7, declaring the emissions and safety provisions under which the vehicle is being imported. Vehicles that meet all U.S. emission requirements will bear manufacturer’s label on the engine compartment in English, attesting to that fact. For vehicles that lack such a label, the Customs inspector at the port of entry may require proof of eligibility to import under the EPA exemptions or exclusions specified on form 3520-1.
Vehicles that do not meet all U.S. emission requirements, unless eligible for exemption or exclusion must be imported through an independent commercial importer (ICI). EPA will not allow the vehicles’ release to the vehicle owner until ICI work is complete. The ICI will perform any EPA-required modifications and be responsible for assuring that all EPA requirements have been met. Some vehicles cannot be successfully imported or modified by an ICI, however, and in general, ICI fees are very high."
