Currently searching for a 2jzge and can't seem to find any other than attarco (and a few expensive eBay adds) but the only reviews I've seen for attarco have been bad.

Does anyone have a good opinion on them? Or a better place to find a 2jzge?

Vrank!!!

hahahahaha

The vvti 1uz out of that sc400 that guy is parting out on your CL would be much more fun and just as reliable....

Sounds fun but my dream car is an mk3 with a 2jz in it so that's what I'm aiming for lol.

There's a place in denver with 3 non vvti motors but they want > $1000 for them...perhaps I just gotta keep a lookout on CL and eBay

I say don't get anything that has been touched by Attarco. They are a production rebuild house and don't seem to know much about import motors. I got a 7M rebuild from them and found that they didn't keep the front plate on when they resurfaced the block. That means another BHG.

I'd recommend JHot Imports, any day of the week. You'd probably need to call them up if you're looking for a 2jz-GE, most of the motors they have on their ebay page lean toward performance... but I'm sure they could get you an n/a too. :)

I did not know they had inventory beyond their site! Thank you.
It'll only be n/a till I get ahold of it lol

**edit**
jhot does not receive 2jz-ge's :(

So get a GTE. ;)

I know they get those in on occasion, I would have bought one if I didn't find the particular 1j I did from them.

The money to power ratio is too far off for what I'm lookin for. Why spend close to 2 grand on just a motor to make stock twins power when I can spend $1,000 or so and have 600?

I don't mean $1000 for everything, I know that wouldn't work lol. I mean for motor potential alone. $1500+ for a gte that even if it set the stock twins record your at 520hp, compared to a $400 motor with a $600 turbo that could make over 600.

I'm much closer to an NA-T setup than a gte cause I already have a new wire harness and standalone for a 7m (or 2j in this case)

I drive an is300. these motors go super cheap! my friend has one with a semi popped headgasket, i bet he'd throw in an ecu, and if he doesn't i have one i'll give you, its a vvti 2jzge. i think he wants like 200 or something for it. definately a good start for a nice price. let me know and i'll ask him about it. its located in atl though.
